Financial Assistance

An Experience that Lasts a Lifetime.

We are so excited you want your child or family to become a part of the YMCA Camp Y-Koda family! Attending camp and nature based programs can truly be an experience that lasts a lifetime and the relationships built and memories made during your child's stay can last a lifetime.

We know that for many families the cost of attending program, especially week-long camps, can be a financial challenge that they might not be able to afford. We are here to help. Below are options we have available for financial assistance. We are happy to explore with you more by phone or email

Camperships

We are committed to giving kids the friendships, confidence, and character they need to reach their full potential - and providing families with access and support to attend YMCA Camp Y-Koda programs. Here at camp we understand that sometimes everyone needs a hand. We recognize that families have different circumstances at home and that it might influence a family's ability to pay for camp. As a non-profit YMCA organization we work very hard to supply assistance to families that demonstrate a need. Our Annual Campaign raises money throughout the year to support this important part of our mission.

All Campership recipients are encouraged to write a "Thank You" letter to our donors who made Campership funds possible. The letters are important because they encourage donors to continue contributing in the future. If your child has attended YMCA Camp Y-Koda in the past, please ask them to write about their favorite activities, new friends, and why they want to come back. If your child is new to camp, please ask them to write about everything that excites them about attending YMCA Camp Y-Koda.

Financial Assistance & WI Shares

Financial assistance is available based on program capacity, demonstrated need and the YMCA's ability to fund the assistance. In order to provide the most assistance for the largest number of people, we request that you first determine whether you are eligible for child care assistance through the county in which you reside. Once approved, send us a copy of your Notice of Decision and email our Executive Director at jdentz@sheboygancountyymca.org. Contact your Wisconsin Shares office early as you must be approved in the online Wisconsin Shares system before we can deduct the payment from your child's account or to register your child.

If it has been determined that you are ineligible for assistance through the county program, please ask for a letter of declination and we will gladly review your eligibility for assistance through the YMCA Financial Assistance program. The Financial Assistance application can be found below or at a local Sheboygan County YMCA branch. The applications will show the required forms you will need to include for submission.
