MOLLUSC BIOLOGY/ECOLOGY AND COLLECTION
Age 18 & Over

Participants will learn about the common Molluscs that live in the local Rivers. Given their "lifestyles", most Mollusc Species go un-noticed, but are vital to the health of aquatic ecosystems. They also have some fascinating life cycle adaptations. The session will begin in the classroom with an introduction to Mollusc biology and identification. Then we will take a trip to the Sheboygan River to observe and collect Mollusc species. All collected Molluscs will be returned to their natural habitats. Participants will be transported via camp van, but may opt to provide their own transportation also and caravan. Participants should bring water shoes and waders.
