Sheboygan Summer Camps
Stars of Tomorrow Basketball Camp- for boys and girls in grades 3-6, on June 18th -21st from 9:30am-11:30am. During this camp, you will go over the fundamentals of basketball and have a friendly competition between other campers. Different activities include horse, lightening, team lightening and more. A prize will be given to the winner of each competition.
Sports Competition Camp- for boys and girls in grades 1st -4th on June 25th -28th from 1:30pm-3:30pm. Do you love playing sports and being in competitions? Then this camp is for you! We will focus on the fundamentals of soccer, basketball, baseball, and football. We will then have a friendly competition between campers to see who is going to take home gold, silver, and bronze. Children will be divided into grades 1-2 and grades 3-4 for the competitions. Prizes will be award to the winners.
Mighty Mite Sports of all Sorts Camp- for boys and girls in kindergarten -2nd grade on July 9th- 12th, 2018 from 9:30am-11:30am. In this camp we will focus on one major sport per day including football, basketball, baseball, and soccer. If you’re looking to introduce sports to your child or sharpen up their skills, this is a great camp for them! We will focus on the fundamentals, mini games, and modified games if time permits.
Pee Wee Sports & Splash Camp- for boys and girls ages 3 to 5 on July 16th – 19th from 1:30pm-3:00pm. In this camp we will focus on one major sport per day including football, basketball, baseball, and soccer. This is a great way to introduce your child to each of these sports without the commitment of a full season of one sport. They will learn the sport through fundamentals, drills and mini games. Tuesday and Thursday will conclude with supervised recreational play time in the Garton pool. Please have your child wear their swimsuit under their clothing for the transition from gym to pool on these two days.
Youth Speed and Agility Camp- for boys and girls in grades 3-8 on July 23rd – 26th from 9:30-11:30am. Are you looking to get quicker, faster and stronger this summer? Come join us for this great camp to help you get stronger physically as well as mentally. We will use a variety of activities to keep the workouts interesting, and ideas for you to do on your own to keep working hard after the camp is over.
Golf and Disc Golf Camp- for boys and girls in grades 1 – 3 on July 23rd-26th from 1:30pm-3:30pm. This camp will focus on learning the basic skills of golf. The first two days will focus on learning the fundamentals and the skill of golf through different drills and mini games. The second two days will focus on learning the fundamentals and skills of the under-rated, but amazingly fun game of disc golf. By the end of the week, you will be ready to hit the golf course!
Youth Football Camp- for boys and girls in grades 3 -5 on July 30th to August 2nd from 10:00am- 11:30am. Get ready for the upcoming tackle or flag football season by sharpening your skills with fun and valuable drills in this camp. Flag football games will also be played.
Mighty Mite Flag Football Camp- for boys and girls in kindgergarten-2nd grade on August 6th -9th from 9:30am-11:30am. Get ready for the upcoming flag football season by sharpening your skills with fun and valuable drills in this camp. We will go over basic fundamentals, drills, and play mini games.
Blast & Splash Camp- for boys and girls in kindergarten-4th grade on August 13th -16th from 1:30-3:30pm. Come and beat the heat with different water activities this summer! In this camp, it is all about the water. We will play different water activities, go to the beach, have different water challenges and more! If you want to beat the August heat with us, this is the camp for you! Please have your child wear their swimsuit under their clothing for the transition from gym to water.
Sheboygan Falls Summer Camps
Sports of all Sorts Mini-Camps- for boys and girls in grades 1-4 on June 11th -14th from 1:30pm-3:30pm, or August 6th-9th from 9:00am-11:00am. Have fun playing and honing your skills with different sports each day. Sports include basketball, football, tennis, soccer, and baseball. We will work on skills and techniques for each sport and play modified games. To show off your skills each day, there will contest to win prizes!
Mighty Mite Basketball Camp- for boys and girls in kindergarten- 2nd grade on June 18th- 21st from 1:30pm-3:30pm. This camp is designed for children who are just beginning to play basketball. Youth will be taught the fundamentals of the sport. Dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense will be heavily emphasized through drills and controlled game play. This camp will emphasize a basketball skill each day.
Pickleball camp- for boys and girls in grades 3-8 on June 25th- 28th 1:30pm-3:30pm. Pickleball was created with one thing in mind: Fun! It was designed to be easy to learn and play whether you’re five, eighty-five or somewhere in between. It is traditionally played on a badminton-size court with special pickleball paddles, made of wood or high-tech aerospace materials. The ball used is similar to a wiffle ball, but slightly smaller. The lower net and wiffle ball allow the game to be accessible to people of all ages and abilities, while still allowing more competitive players to test their skills. Join us in learning the fastest growing sport in America, have fun with friends, as well as making new ones in our air conditioned gym.
Girls Volleyball Camp- for girls in grades 3-6 on July 9th-12th from 9:00am-11:00am. This camp will improve and develop your volleyball skills, including serving, passing and blocking. Fun games will also be played!
Tennis Lovers Camp- for boys and girls in grades 1-6 on July 16th-19th from 9:00am-11:00am. This camp will focus on skill development, scoring, game play and the fundamentals of tennis. New to this year’s camp will be individual instruction by Elliot Simenz, the South High School Assistant Tennis Coach. The famous “ice cream bucket” will be used during drills. A singles and doubles tournament will end the week. Get ready to serve and ace on a week of fun! Camp will be at River Park tennis courts or in our air- conditioned gym.
YMCA Girls Basketball Camp- for girls in grades 3-8 on July 23rd- 26th from 9:00am-11:00am. Its time to brush up on your basketball skills for the fall. This camp will be under the direction of experienced coaches and college level players. The camp will cover basic skills techniques and fundamentals. Campers will be in separate age groups for games and specialized drills. Improve as an individual and a team player. A t-shirt and refreshments are included.
Dance Camp- for ages 7-10 on July 30th-August 2nd from 9:00am -11:00am. This fun, high energy dance camp is for children who are new to dance or who want to expand their knowledge! Children will explore different movement techniques including ballet, theater, and street style. There will be allotted time for games and how to create your own dance. Fun and age appropriate music will be used. On the last day, there will be a short demonstration for friends and family members to see what the children have learned. Please were comfortable clothing that allows for full range of movement, athletic shoes and sock/ballet slippers. Please bring a water bottle.
YMCA Football Training Camp- for boys in grades 1-4 on August 13-17th from 9:00am-11:00am. This camp is highly recommended for youth who will play in our YMCA flag or tackle football programs. The basics, including flag pulling/tackling and blocking will be demonstrated, practiced and critiqued by coaches. Football conditioning will also be major component to this camp. It is a great way to get back into football shape and tune up your skills for the upcoming season. All players registered for the fall tackle football program will receive their equipment during this camp.
